AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands (Sept 8, 2015) – Scenarist, LLC, the developer of Hollywood-standard professional Blu-ray Disc authoring systems based in Novato, California, announced today at the International Broadcast Convention (IBC) that it has completed a commercial agreement with ATEME to bundle the TITAN File multi- codec/format transcoding system with its Scenarist UHD Workgroup authoring system. The combination creates the world’s only complete solution for Ultra HD Blu-ray title creation.
“The bundle of Scenarist UHD and ATEME TITAN sets the ‘gold standard’ for encoding and professional authoring for Ultra HD Blu-ray,” said Michel Artieres, CEO of ATEME located in Paris, France. “Scenarist is the proven leader in authoring solutions for Hollywood and we are delighted to partner with them to bring the ATEME TITAN encoder to the compression and authoring industry.”
Scenarist UHD has been developed in conjunction with feedback from its industry focus group (UHDG) partners who have been using the system since March of this year. ATEME’s TITAN encoder has become the standard in cable head-end encoding for the 4K broadcast industry. “ATEME and Scenarist have been working closely with Hollywood studios and facility owners engaged in Ultra HD Blu-ray title production since early 2015; and the combination of Scenarist UHD and ATEME TITAN encoding is playing a leading role in the launch of the new format,” said Rolf Hartley, managing partner at Scenarist, LLC. “We’re delighted to be working closely with ATEME and add their world class TITAN File encoder to the Scenarist UHD Workgroup.”
The Scenarist UHD Workgroup will be available staring in Q4, 2015. Scenarist will be demonstrating the new Scenarist UHD Workgroup for Ultra HD Blu-ray at the IBC show from September 11 through September 15, 2015 in Amsterdam.
